How to Play Jamaica Ludi
Roll, choose a usable die, then choose a legal piece. The game highlights what can move.
Roll a 6 to enter on your ENTRY square. After one full circuit, turn into your own HOME lane.
Each die is a separate move. You may use both dice on the same piece one after the other if each move is legal. Any roll containing a 6 also earns one bonus roll after both dice are resolved.
Capture: Land exactly on one rival to knock that piece back to its Yard. Passing over a rival does not knock them. Knocking a rival does not give an extra turn; only rolling a 6 gives a bonus roll.
Blocks: WAH MEK uses two-man blocks. Two same-color pieces on the same track square form a block. Opponents cannot land on, capture, or pass through a block, and one block cannot knock another block.
ENTRY blocking: A block may sit on an ENTRY square. If a rival block is on your ENTRY square, you cannot bring a piece out there until the block moves.
Doubles + block move: If two of your pieces are already stacked as a block and you roll doubles (for example, 5 + 5), tap either die, then tap the stacked pair to move both pieces together by that number. Moving the block uses both dice.
Protected HOME lane: Once a piece turns into its own HOME lane, rival pieces cannot enter that lane or capture it there.
